Yes, that was Brynmohr.

He has served his kidnapping penance of ten years, imposed by the Dawnguard, and is free to leave the Realm of the Firstborn again. Though he has ventured to Rhynn before today, and has watched his grandchildren from afar, this is the first time he as ever spoken with them.

I’ll admit a secret. Brynmohr was one of my favorite characters to write of the entire Rootstock Saga. He’s tragic and flawed. He’s evil-good and good-evil.

Brynmohr makes terrible mistakes and pays terribly for them.

His arc was one of the best.
