Is your book going to be an audible and if so when I have legend of the storm hawks but I need an audible to listen
Our voice-over actor submitted the Legend of the Storm Hawks audiobook to Amazon ACX on Jan 25, but it’s still in their production pipeline. Normally it takes 10 to 14 business days, but we’re going on the one-month mark with them now. Anxiously awaiting, with you. Hopefully soon.
Okay I’ll wait I hear your book is really good
Thanks, Joshua. I’m glad it was an enjoyable read. We got word late this afternoon the audiobook status has progressed to “headed for retail.” That sounds more promising than the infernal “pending review” we stared and fumed at for a solid month.
Thanks, I saw this morning the Path of the Spirit Runner is available as a paperback on Amazon. I thought it wasn’t being published until the 29th of February
Calculating lead time on print vs ebook is tricky. The print production pipeline takes longer and is less predictable, so I err on the side of having print ready early rather than late. The marketing launch ads are already scheduled for March 1 and the following week. Both formats needed to be available by the time the ads start running. Now, I’m just hoping the Legend of the Storm Hawks audiobook will be on the shelf by then, too. We’ll see.
Will your books be on audiobookss
Yes. Yes. Yes. These made fantastic audiobooks!
We had Legend of the Storm Hawks professionally narrated by an incredibly talented voice actor. He chose the accents, nailed the “telepathy” dialog, and added so much personality to the delivery. It gives the story an entirely new dimension. He completed his work on January 25 at ACX (Amazon’s Audible division) and we have been waiting, waiting, waiting for processing since then. Normally, it takes 14 business days for the audio quality review stage, then another 7 days for the audiobook to appear in retail channels. But ACX is backlogged. We aren’t the only ones experiencing delays. It’s a big problem for many authors and producers. Hopefully, Amazon will address the causes of these delays soon and the world can hear Seth, Isobel, and Nigel’s voices.
In the meantime, we’ve engaged the same narrator for Path of the Spirit Runner. We’ve collaborated on pronunciation, accents for the new settings in Tallu.
Wouldn’t it be a plot twist if somehow Spirit Runner’s audiobook made it to retail before Storm Hawks?
Sigh.
Thanks for your interest!
Legend of the Storm Hawks audiobook is LIVE on Audible as of tonight. Should appear on Audible, Amazon and iTunes shortly.
