Farsight is one of the more common of the mindgifts and the earliest to be recognized as such. Like many of the mindgifts, it appears most often though not exclusively in the Aurel bloodlines.

Farsight is a genetic adaptation of the light receptors in human eyes and augments the sense of vision beyond the physical constraints of distance by perceiving and following light waves to their source.

Someone with farsight is a farseer.

The stronger the mindgift, the greater distance the farsight can perceive. Farsight is only sight. No sounds. No scents. Only images that fade as time moves on.

In Legend of the Storm Hawks, Gaven, Jules, and Tessa are confirmed to have the farsight.
